There are many ways for parishioners of all ages to be involved and volunteer at St. Peter!
Education
Bible Studies: Facilitate and gather people together in a small groups setting with the Bible, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
RCIA Participant: Adults who wish to receive the Sacrament of Initiation (Baptism, First Holy Communion, and/or Confirmation).
Religious Education Teacher: Teach Kindergarten-8th grade on Mondays (6:00-7:15) or Tuesdays (5:00-6:15).
Religious Education Teacher's Aide: Assist the Religious Ed teachers.
Religious Education Hall Monitor: These volunteers help supervise our hallways and assist students and parents before and during class time.
Hospitality
Bake & Prepare Food: Provide delicious treats or entrees throughout the year for our special receptions or gatherings.
Coffee & Donuts: Help set up, clean up, and greet all who attend our coffee and donuts after Mass on Sundays.
First Responders Mass/Dinner: Make sure the Mass celebration and
activities are extra special for the men and women who keep our families and communities safe.
Greeters: Assist our ushers at welcoming all those who enter our church for Mass or Special Events.
Parish Picnic: Help plan, set up and make sure our Annual Parish Picnic runs smoothly!
Music
Adult Choir: Add your voice to our 10:00 Mass choir.
Cantare: Our contemporary group of singers and instrumentalists provide music at Noon Mass.
Cantor: Individual singers who lead our parish in song.
Children's Choir: Our Children's Choir sings at 4:00 Mass 2 Saturdays a month.
Resurrection Choir: This choir provides solace and song at our funeral Masses.
Outreach
Activity Coordinator: These volunteers help coordinate fun activities like trips to Jimmy John's Field, St. Bonaventure, and other exciting trips that the parish family can do together!
Childcare: This ministry provides quality childcare by teens & adults for parents while they attend parish activities that would not be age-appropriate for small children.
Communion to the Homebound: Bringing Communion to those limited by age, disability, or illness.
Community Garden Angel: Work offsite together to grow vegetables and fruit for families who are in need.
Craft Ministry: If you can knit, crochet, sew, quilt, make rosaries, etc., this is the ministry for you.
Flower Garden Angel: Keep the grounds of the church, rectory and administration building beautiful and tranquil.
Greeting Card Ministry: Volunteers within this ministry send out birthday and sympathy cards to our parishioners.
Knights of Columbus: This outreach ministry consists of a very active group of Catholic gentlemen who work tirelessly in our parish community.
Ladies Book Club: These ladies meet offsite at a local restaurant, discussing the newest book of the month!
MCREST: Volunteers assist in housing the homeless at a local site for one week in July each year. Many tasks are needed: transportation, shopping, cooking, cleaning, washing, entertainment.
Photographer: Take pictures of various parish events and send them to us via email so we can share them in our parish bulletin, website and/or social media.
Respect Life Ministry: Volunteers in this group organize activities such as the Mother's Day Right to Life Flower Sale and Fall Mum Sale and Parish Baby Shower.
Soup Kitchen: Once a month organize or assist with the feeding of the poor.
St. Vincent de Paul Society: Grow spiritually through person-to-person service to the poor and needy at our food pantry. The needy in our community are given food, clothing, bus tickets, etc.
Transportation: Drive our seniors to Mass.
Prayer
Funeral Home Service Leader: This ministry entails a visit to the funeral home, praying the rosary or reading scripture.
Living Rosary Prayer Partner: From the comfort of your home, pray one decade of the rosary daily, offering your prayers for the needs of our parish.
Prayer Chain Warrior: Receive prayer requests for special needs frequently asked by our fellow parishioners.
Worship
Altar Server: Boys & girls in grades 5-12 assist at the Altar at Mass.
Church Cleaning: Weekly cleaning of the Altar, Church, Cry Room or Vestibule.
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion: Assist in distributing the Eucharist at Mass.
Lector: Proclaim the Old and New Testaments at Mass.
Live-Streaming: Sign up for 1 or 2 Masses a month to help provide our homebound with our live-stream Mass.
Rosary Prayer Leader: Lead the rosary before Mass on the weekends.
Sacristan: Ensure that the Altar is prepared for Mass.
St. Peter Altar Society: Social group that provides things used about the Altar and in the Sanctuary .
Usher: Help create a welcoming atmosphere by assisting people before, during & after Mass.
Wedding Coordinator: Ensure, as much as possible, that the wedding Mass goes as planned as you guide the bridal party.
Wedding Sacristan: Assist the priest and help the wedding Mass run smoothly.

Protecting God's Children
In order to provide a safe environment for our children, all adult volunteers (18 years and older) must participate in a Protecting God's Children (PGC) Workshop, have a criminal history background check and be provided with the Volunteer Code of Conduct.
