This ministry provides quality childcare for parents while they attend parish activities that would not be age-appropriate for small children. We enlist help from teenagers in the Youth Group as well as mature adults.

Christmas Giving Trees Committee
Members help organize Christmas gift selections, create the giving tags, decorate the trees, sort and distribute the gifts after collection for distribution .

Communion to Homebound
This ministry allows our parishioners to share their love for the Eucharist and their compassion for our homebound by taking Communion to those limited by age, disability, or illness. They not only bring Communion, but also bring their warm smiles and kind hearts.

Craft Ministry
If you can knit, crochet, sew, quilt, make rosaries, etc., this is the ministry for you. Our crafty parishioners make rosaries for missions, baby items for Turning Point, Abigayle Ministries, Compassion Pregnancy Center, and Christmas gifts for our homebound (from St. Peter Church) that consist of quilts, blankets, lap throws, scarves, hats, etc. If you have a special craft to share just let us know!

Greeting Card Ministry
Volunteers within this ministry send out birthday and sympathy cards to our parishioners.

Grief Support Group
Members provide ongoing support for their fellow parish members who have lost a loved one either through follow-up calls, notes or through our Grief Support Group sessions.

Hospital Ministry
Volunteers visit the sick at Mclaren Macomb and Henry Ford Hospitals and share of themselves with prayer, company, comfort and the healing power of the Body of Christ.

Interfaith Caregiver
Volunteers provide assistance to our older and disabled neighbors who need a little extra help. Many frail
and physically challenged adults in our community struggle daily to maintain their
independence. Your involvement often make it possible for them to remain in their own

MCREST
Volunteers assist in housing the homeless at St. Peter Church for one week in July each year. Many tasks are needed: transportation, shopping, cooking, cleaning, washing, entertainment.

Mercy in Action Day
Ministry for Moms in Need
Every year a local service project is chosen. For instance, last year our focus was to restock the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. These service projects are chosen keeping ALL involved, trying to allow every age group to share their time for our needs in the community.

Parish Community Garden
Volunteers, with or without green thumbs, work offsite together to grow vegetables and fruit on a 4-½ acre piece of land for our families who are in need. Work consists of planning, plowing, fertilizing, planting, weeding, harvesting, and distributing the fruits of their labor.

Soup Kitchen
Caregivers provide short term relief in a strictly companion-sitter type of service. There is no “hands-on” responsibility.

Volunteers prepare lunches for Sister Judie's Outreach every 3rd Sunday of the month, after the 10:00 Mass.

Once a year we help at the St. Christine Soup Kitchen in Detroit to serve a hot and healthy meal on a Tuesday or Saturday. We serve 450 people. We are also open to serving at other soup kitchens in the area. A volunteer is neede to lead or plan, along with several people to assist this leader as needed.

Vacation Bible School
Grow spiritually through person-to-person service to the poor and needy at our food pantry. The needy in our community are given food, clothing, bus tickets, etc.

Our VBS program is offered once a year t children from pre-school to fifth grade. This program needs many volunteers to make it successful. VBS is held during the last week of June, Monday-Friday from 9am-noon. If you have the time, many hands are needed. From office work to the kitchen; from crafts to sign and play time with the children; games leader, audio/visual tech and photographer...come join us!
