Altar Serving
All children of the parish, from 5th grade through 12th grade are encouraged to sign up!
If you child wishes to become an altar server, please fill out the interest form below.
Our altar servers perform a vital role in assisting our priests at Mass. Altar serving can help the young people of our parish be more involved in the Liturgy and in the sacramental life of our parish. It is a great opportunity to grow your relationship with Christ and is a great honor, privilege, and way to grow in your understanding of what goes on during Mass, in your faith, and in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
All altar servers will be assigned to serve the weekend Masses. They are scheduled on a rotating basis between the 4:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday, 7:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m. or 12:00 noon Mass on Sunday. Altar servers are also expected to sign-up for and serve other liturgies during the year, as their schedules permit, which consist of Holy Days, the Christmas and Easter seasons including Stations of the Cross, and other special liturgies, which take place at St. Peter Church.
Questions, please contact Denise Bommarito at 586-468-4578.
